The Voice Australia keeps Seven on a high note

Seven’s The Voice topped entertainment for Wednesday night, with the network also taking the lead for overall share for the evening.

The episode brought in 683,000 metro viewers and won the 16-39 demographic, however it was Nine’s Travel Guides that took out the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics, with the episode airing to an average audience of 613,000.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 20 April, Seven News topped the list with 1.554 million Total TV viewers, including 34,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 2%. The program with the highest uplift was Nine’s The Thing About Pam, with an uplift of 52%, viewed by a total of 574,000 national viewers.

Next in entertainment on Wednesday was ABC’s Hard Quiz which pulled in 533,00 metro viewers, followed by The Chase on Seven with 525,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s Home and Away brought in 481,000 metro viewers and Ten’s Masterchef brought in 443,000, with the Ten’s Masterchef Australia Masterclass bringing 369,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 953,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 905,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 896,000 metro viewers, then Nine News 6:30 with 860,000 metro viewers. Nine’s A Current Affair brought in 666,000 metro viewers. ABC News followed with 645,000 metro viewers, then ABC’s 7.30 with 477,000 metro viewers.

As noted above, Seven had the largest network share with 29.8%, closely followed by Nine with 27.9%. Ten was next with 18.2%, followed by the ABC with a 16.5% share.
