The Voice launch episode tops Week 33 VOZ report with 2.396m viewers

The Voice Australia’s launch episode was the #1 most-watched program nationally over television Week 33, with 2.396 million viewers on linear and BVOD between 5 and 14 August.

The launch aired the night of the Tokyo Olympics Closing Ceremony and has added 272,000 viewers on BVOD since that night.

The Voice is the only entertainment format this year to average over a million metro viewers, and three episodes made it into the top five of the latest Total TV Top 20 Programs Consolidated 7 Audience VOZ report.

Two episodes following the launch had 2.118 million viewers and 2.05 million viewers respectively.

Seven had an almost complete monopoly on the top ten programs, the Tokyo 2020 countdown to the Closing Ceremony taking 1.954 million and the ceremony itself bringing 1.824 million.

The Farmer Wants A Wife reunion episode had 1.695 million viewers, while the only Nine program to crack the ten was the Sunday edition of Nine News.
