The Week launches video show

News magazine The Week is the latest to launch an online video play in a new venture with online TV platoform evoTV.  

David Salter, editor of The Week, will appear in a short weekly video on evoTV discussing the main political developments of the previous seven days.

A new show will be uploaded each Friday.

evoTV launched about 18 months ago. It offers video content focusing on financial news and claims a reach of 400,000 viewers. Founder Vanessa Stoykov said: “The Week meets its readers’ needs brilliantly in print and for that reason, we knew it would make a fantastic online show. We give viewers finance news daily and now, in less than five minutes, they’ll get a Friday fix of everything else they need to know.”

The Week launched in Australia in October 2008. Salter said: “This online partnership with evoTV complements The Week’s existing print offering.”
