The Works has hired Jon Holloway from London shop Hurricane to drive the agency’s digital integration efforts.

Holloway takes on the role of digital strategy director – a new position.

“The role is a response to the substantial growth and demands of digital services,” said Damian Pincus, founding partner at The Works. “Holloways’s key tasks will be to spearhead the integration of all things digital for Works’ clients and help our clients deliver world class work.”

Before Hurricane, where he was chief digital officer, Holloway was worldwide head of digital strategy at Cable & Wireless.

Holloway noted: “This new role is a big move for The Works. It sends a clear signal to everyone about the importance of our digital work.

On his LinkedIn profile, Holloway refers to himself as a ‘curator of the digital ecosystem’. In the personal summary, he wrote: “I was once called a man from the future, not strictly true, but I am definitely not trapped in that box called ‘now'”.
