The Works hires Shelby Lane-Brown as digital art director

Shelby Lane-Brown has joined The Works as digital art director from California-based agency Visualade.

The announcement:

SYDNEY, 14 JULY 2011: Following a raft of new business wins as well as organic growth from existing clients, The Works has appointed Shelby Lane-Brown to the role of Digital Art Director.

According to Kevin MacNamara, Creative Director at The Works, demand and character fit were the drivers behind Brown’s appointment.

“We’ve had a real surge in demand for digital work from newly won business such as Daikin and Sydney Convention Centre as well as from existing clients organically growing their offering. We’ve wanted to beef up our digital arm but were waiting for the right fit. Our model demands a unique combination of characteristics from our creatives. We’ve found a great fit in Shelby.”

For Lane-Brown, energy, creativity and ambition were big draw cards when it came to signing up with The Works: “I love the energy at The Works. The focus on the creative along with an extremely talented team makes it a fantastic agency.”

She has over 10 years experience, with her most recent position being Creative Director at Visualade- an interactive agency in Long Beach, California. Previous roles saw her working with leading fashion and design clients such as: Burton, Quicksliver, Long Beach Magazine and Blu Dot Furniture, on Webby Award winning campaigns.

Reporting directly to Kevin MacNamara, Lane-Brown has already been engaged to work on campaigns for Daikin, Jim Beam and Canadian Club.
