Thinkerbell wins creative account for Seafolly

Australian swimwear brand Seafolly has appointed Thinkerbell to its creative account following a competitive pitch process.

Seafolly appointed Ogilvy Australia as its first-ever creative agency back in 2016. Then in November last year, London-based ODD opened its doors in Sydney with Seafolly as a foundation client.

In January of this year, Seafolly launched its global summer campaign ‘Made in Summer’, created by ODD.

Now, however, the brand will work with Thinkerbell, with CMO Adriana McDermott saying the agency was a breath of fresh air.

“They really delivered a platform idea that will give us a voice – one that will redefine the category in a way that genuinely empowers women and connects to our brand truth,” McDermott said.

Thinkerbell’s managing partner, Margie Reid, added: “As an agency passionate about supporting Aussie brands, we are really excited to be working with Seafolly. We believe this category [is] in the midst of a great evolution, and can’t wait to work with the Seafolly team to grow this quintessential brand.”

The brand’s media agency remains Havas Media, with Thinkerbell saying the two will work together to “shake-up the swimwear category with a new brand campaign this spring/ summer”.
