Thirst Creative appoints creative director prior to new service launch

Thirst Creative has promoted Simon Derham to the role of creative director.

The announcement:

With more than 20 years of creative leadership experience, Simon brings a deep passion for creating art with heart. Prior to joining Thirst Creative as design director in May 2020, he succeeded in senior roles with Mustard Creative and Bauer Media, where he worked with a diverse range of clients including Hume Bank, Hisense, Hertz, and Coles.

Simon’s promotion is an important milestone on a journey that will soon include the launch of Thirst Creative’s all-new service offering and fresh new look. With Simon providing oversight across major projects, the Melbourne-based agency is perfectly positioned to continue crafting impactful branding, integrated campaigns, marketing, digital, video and design that delivers incredible results for clients.

For Simon, it’s an exciting opportunity to help Thirst Creative continue to grow and help clients and brands connect with their audiences. “I’m thrilled to be working with such a talented, humble and hard-working team. I’ve experienced a culture of care at Thirst unlike anywhere else – real care for our clients, for the quality and impact of our work, and for each other,” he said. “Our fully integrated service offering allows us to really partner with our clients and provide a more tailored and personalised experience.”

Thirst Creative’s managing director Angela Harbinson added that Simon’s promotion is a recognition of his contributions and the agency’s growth. “This is a really strong vote of confidence in Simon and also in Thirst Creative,” she said. “Time and time again, Simon has delivered really impactful work for our clients. We know he’s the perfect person to help us keep on raising the bar.”

Thirst Creative’s clients include Bendigo Bank, Eastern Health, Future Fund, RMIT, RSL Victoria, and Simply Tasty.
