That time Erin Molan fell off her chair
It takes two key skills to efficiently read a sports bulletin on live television.
First, to be able to read the bulletin.
Second, to be able to avoid falling off your chair.
So Dr Mumbo salutes Nine’s Erin Molan, who’s already half way there.
The Saturday night bulletin of Nine News was an eventful one for Molan.
During her sports wrap, viewers heard a thud, followed by a muffled “Shit”.
Then Molan battled on: “The Tour de France… I’ve just fallen off my chair… now I’m all good…”
By the time she was back in vision, she was sporting something of a damp patch on her top too.
Viewers were, it seemed, impressed by the recovery:
Well that's live TV for you, folks. @Erin_Molan you are a trooper. x

@Erin_Molan you're a true pro! Stacked off the chair and clearly wore your drink but barely missed a beat in your report. Champion effort.

Mortified, Erin took to Instagram to apologise to viewers for her language.
It’s not the first time a news reader has fallen foul of a spillage, but it may be the best…
That twang!!!!
