Time running out for Australia’s ImPerfect Couple
It’s probably time to start taking bets on how much longer Nine’s Australia’s Perfect Couple, which has already been on air for two glorious episodes, is going to survive.
Ruth Ritchie put it quite nicely in Saturday’s Sydney Morning Herald: “Every society has a low point where we are forced to face the disgraceful truth about how far we haven’t come. This new competition, hosted by Jules Lund, sees us electrocuting horrible couples without having the guts to do the job properly.”
Discussing the ratings, TV Tonight’s David Knox asks: “”The second ep of Australia’s Perfect Couple proved almost as dire, and should have been moved by now. What happened to the philosophy that ‘if you’re going to fail, fail fast?’”
