today network logoThe troubled Today Network has suffered a new blow with disappointing ratings results in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.

Today’s publication of radio ratings from Nielsen – covering the period of September 16 to October 20 and October 28 to December 1 – will add to the pressure on the network which is already in crisis over the death of a British nurse who was involved in a prank call.

In Sydney, 2Day FM lost 0.7 share points, dropping to an 8.4% share of the Monday to Sunday audience. Although 2Day FM remained the top station, Nova is now just 1.1 share points behind. The Kyle & Jackie O show lost more share than any other show in any timeslot in Sydney with a fall from 12.1% to 10.3% audience share, a drop of 1.8 share points.

In Adelaide, Today Network’s SAFM saw a drop of 1.6 share points, the biggest Monday to Sunday fall for any station in the city. In the commercial FM battle, it fell from third to fourth.
