Tommy Cehak and Gavin Chimes boost JayGrey’s creative team to five
JayGrey has made a twin creative hire, with the signing of Tommy Cehak and Gavin Chimes from M&C Saatchi/Mark taking the creative department to five people.
The agency, which re-launched in September 2009 when creative director Jay Furby took a minority stake in Grey Sydney, now has 21 staff in total.
Cehak and Chimes have previously worked at 303 and Amnesia Razorfish, where they formed a creative partnership.
Furby commented: “It is great to work with people who have lots of enthusiasm for the world’s biggest navel gazing profession and they are unaffected still. We could not have hoped for a better team to drive our client’s business forward and make every day shine. If I am wrong I will eat their bone marrow.”
Earlier in the month, JayGrey hired Claudia McInerney, who joined as a group account director and Amy Cadwallader, as senior planner.
Furby revealed that another creative hire is soon to be announced.
interesting to read blogs from original announcement of JayGrey. Have to say Jay has proved many wrong. Good luck with the appointments.

Tommy’s always had a thing for large furry animals, but good luck to him and his fetish!
