Among the first confirmed speakers is Tourism Australia chief marketing officer Lisa Ronson who will reflect on her first 12 months in the role while also discussing her first major marketing campaign which launches in the new year.

There will also be a range of new topics up for discussion including the role influencers are playing in travel, the art of native advertising and best practice in social media marketing.

The summit will also examine how brands can earn media in a budget-conscious sector while another session will reveal how, what and where prospective travellers are consuming media.

Speakers and panelists include Junkee Media co-founder and creative director Tim Duggan, Contiki head of marketing Vanessa Stavrou, Intrepid Travel managing director James Thornton and Tourism Australia global manager social and content Jesse Desjardins.

The summit will also hear from Bashful founder Simon Bookallil, whose company handled the social strategy on the recent P&O Cruises event which saw five ships rendezvous in Sydney Harbour, social media expert Simon Veksner, OMD head of insights Carl McLean and PR boss Kim McKay.

More speaker details and session will be announced in the coming weeks.
