Topping up the Vodafone credits for when Tarantino calls
Dr Mumbo loves an Australian success story.
So he’s delighted to hear that Damon Herriman has been cast as Charles Manson in Quentin Tarantino’s new movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
Readers may know Herriman from his AACTA-winning role in Foxtel’s Secret City, his Logie-nominated role in The Sullivans, or as INXS manager Chris Murphy in Seven’s miniseries Never Tear Us Apart.
However, with A-List status closing in, Dr Mumbo suspects it may be time for Herriman – who lists himself on Facebook as Hamon Derriman – to lock down his social media settings.
Search Herriman on Google, and one of the most prominent links is to something of an unintended piece of brand advocacy for Vodafone.
As Herriman’s fame grows, Dr Mumbo is sure that Vodafone will be thanking its lucky stars its community manager was on her game on the day Herriman generously tried to organise a gift card for a friend.
Sadly, as far as Dr Mumbo can ascertain, Vodafone never did take him up on the gift card suggestion.
