Torch Media appoints Steve Jones as marketing director

steve_jones_torch_mediaTorch Media has become the second out of home media company in a week to make a senior marketing appointment.

Torch Media has promoted Steve Jones to the new role of marketing director, heading a team of five.

Jones was previously strategy director at Torch. He will report in to Kirsty Dollisson, GM of marketing and commercial at Torch Media.

She said: “We conducted an extensive search to fill the role, and found no one better than Steve. Not only does he already know our business inside out, his breadth of experience in the media industry is invaluable to our clients and our company.”

Before joining Torch Media three years ago, Jones worked at agencies including Universal McCann, Zenith Optimedia and MindShare, and was also strategy integration Manager at Australian Radio Network.

In his previous role at Torch Media, Jones was responsible for research projects including the new Torch Media Panorama module and a study into shopper behaviour around meals.

Jones will also continue to oversee the company’s strategy department.

His appointment follows yesterday’s move by JC Decaux to appoint Essie Wake to the newly created role of head of marketing.
