Tourism business Voyages appoints BMF and Speed to its creative and media

Indigenous tourism business Voyages has appointed BMF to its creative account and Speed to its media planning and buying.

Speed and BMF were appointed through separate review processes. The two agencies will work together on an upcoming integrated campaign featuring a new brand platform developed by BMF.

BMF will also work on the brand’s communications strategy and implementation over the next three years.

Voyages has hired BMF and Speed

For Speed, the appointment is the latest in a series of new business wins this year. In February, the agency was appointed communications strategy agency for energy drink V. This was followed a month later by the addition of the Dulux Group’s garage doors and openers business B&D to Speed’s client list.

Ana Sofia Ayala, chief marketing officer of Voyages, praised both new agency partners.

“BMF was selected on its standout response to our brief, including their ability to capture the essence of our brand. The quality of the strategic thinking and calibre of the ideas that were presented were world-class and we believe they will be a strong, collaborative partner that will deliver on our brand promise,” she said.

“Speed was selected in order to use its robust approach to data analytics to unlock unique insights. We were impressed with their ability to use this capability to drive a truly innovative integrated strategic approach between creative and media.”

Stephen McArdle, CEO of BMF, said the appointment was a privilege.

“We know how special Voyages’ Indigenous destinations are and we can’t wait to help relaunch a place and experience that is so important to Australia and the Indigenous culture it celebrates. It will be an absolute privilege to work on,” McArdle said.

“We’re also excited to partner up with Ian and his team at Speed, who have already brought some fresh and dynamic comms-planning thinking to the table, that will help drive the effectiveness of our creative approach.”

Ian Perrin, managing partner Speed, added: “We couldn’t be more excited to start working on such an interesting brand, in such a dynamic category, at such a unique time.”

Voyages is an Indigenous tourism organisation which manages tourism and resort facilities in the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia. As well as the Ayers Rock Resort its destinations include the Mossman Gorge and Home Valley Station.
