Tourism Tasmania tenders $3.6m media account

Tourism Tasmania The $3.6m media account for Tourism Tasmania is up for tender on a five year contract, with incumbent Vizeum on alert.

The state tourism body is inviting media agencies to lodge an expression of interest to “partner in generating sustainable market growth for tourism in Tasmania”.

According to the website, the successful agency will “provide media strategy, planning and buying services across all forms of media that will build on, and add value to, the strategic direction of the communication.”

The tender will be a multi-stage procurement process with agencies to then be shortlisted before presentations.

Nielsen estimates put the media spend of Tourism Tasmania at $3.6m in the calendar year to 2014.

Tasmania is not the only state tourism body to be currently pitching media with Tourism NT also pitching its creative and media.
