Travel Guides helps Nine to a tight Wednesday win

Nine’s Travel Guides topped entertainment programming on Wednesday evening, assisting a narrow win in overall share, pipping Seven by 0.2%.

The episode brought in 622,000 metro viewers for the network, ahead of Seven’s The Chase Australia, which saw 549,000 metro viewers tune in.

Overall, news programs dominated TV viewership once again, with Seven News being the #1 rated program on Wednesday, with 964,000 metro viewers. Seven News at 6:30 followed with 902,000 metro viewers, then Nine News at 6:30 with 779,000, and Nine News on 777,000.

Next in entertainment was Seven’s Home and Away with 473,000 metro viewers, followed by The 1% Club also on Seven with 469,000, then ABC’s Hard Quiz on 430,000 metro viewers.

Nine’s Hot Seat saw 419,000 metro viewers tune in and Masterchef Australia had 408,0000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Nine Network won overall share for the evening with 28.3%, followed by Seven with 28.1%, Ten with 17.6%, and ABC on 15.9%.

The top-rated primary channel was Nine with 21.0%, but the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with 3.3%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV report for 10 May, Seven News was the #1 program with 1.566  million metro viewers with a 3% uplift, and 45,000 on national BVOD.

The program with the highest uplift was Rogue Heroes on SBS with a 186% uplift, for 432,00 Total TV viewers, including 130,000 BVOD viewers.
