Travel insurer and lifestyle brand World Nomads launches podcast channel

Global travel insurance and lifestyle brand, World Nomads has added podcasting to its list of content creation.

Co-hosted by former 2GB Executive Producer Phil Sylvester and former radio breakfast announcer Kim Napier, they use a three-hour- long talkback radio format as a template, produced into a 45-minute episode.

“World Nomads has always used “content” – written and visual – to promote what it does (and believes in). It’s only natural to expand into audio content. The growth of podcasting over the past 3 years made it a ‘no-brainer’ as a way of owning the means to make that happen,” says Phil.

The World Nomads Podcast is not your usual travel podcast, it caters for independent, adventurous travellers delving into the latest travel trends and providing listeners with unique destination insights you won’t find in a guidebook.

The podcast is produced in a purpose-built studio at World Nomads headquarters in Sydney attracting a global audience.

With just 13 episodes created The World Nomads Podcast has a growing popularity in the United States with analytics showing 67% of downloads are from the US, followed by Canada and Australia.

Kim and Phil work from the editorial content calendar created for the World Nomads website, based on the destinations featured monthly.

Previous episodes have included Iceland, Croatia and South Korea.
The World Nomads Podcast is available to download from iTunes.
