Turner International Australian GM to go to Singapore as VP sales and marketing
Turner International Asia Pacific has made Robi Stanton vice president of sales and marketing for the South East Asia Pacific region and will relocate to Singapore in September.
The move follows a dramatic revamp of its business including cutting 30 per cent of jobs in Asia Pacific. The Time Warner company’s assets include CNN and Cartoon Network.
Stanton will move from general manager of Turner’s business in Australia to oversee brands such as Cartoon Network, as well as assume responsibility for CNN and HLN network and content distribution in the South East Asia Pacific Region.
The broader portfolio gives Stanton a clear responsibility to drive strategy, planning and growth of revenues across network and content distribution and advertising sales.
In addition to leadership of commercial streams Stanton will cover marketing and PR for Turner’s entertainment channels with the South East Asia Pacific region.
CNN’s Asia Pacific advertising sales business continues to be led by William Hsu.
