My Kitchen Rules and First Dates wins in the demographics, helping Seven win the night

Seven’s dating show First Dates remained relatively steady last night, after shedding 250,000 viewers last week, pulling in 731,000 metro viewers at 9:00pm, down on last week’s audience of 735,000.First Dates

The dating show was the second-most watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54) while Seven’s My Kitchen Rules was the most-watched.

MKR also won the night after pulling in a metro audience of 1.372m at 7.30pm.

The two shows handed Seven a winning audience share of 25.3%, ahead of Nine’s share of 19.2%. Ten claimed third place with a share of 12.6%.

Also in the 7:30pm time slot, Ten’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! was watched by 637,000 while Nine’s The Big Bang Theory had a metro audience of 784,000.

A second episode of the US sitcom was watched by 653,000.

In the news battleground, Nine News at 6:00pm grabbed 934,000 metro viewers, dipping to 891,000 from 6:30pm. Seven News at 6:00pm was watched by 919,000, sliding to 832,000 at 6.30pm.

On the ABC, 7.30 Report was watched by 646,000, Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery (8:00pm), pulled in 528,000 and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (8:30pm) had a metro audience of 481,000.
