TV ratings: Nine hits Thursday night for six

Nine has enjoyed an exception Thursday night, taking a commanding 40.1% of prime time audience share.

The ICC men’s one-dayer between South Africa and Australia was the big winner for Nine, taking 592,000 across the five metro areas. Seven took 22.7% audience share, with its news, The Chase, and Home and Away all delivering the goods as usual.

Bill Bailey’s Wild West Australia and 7.30 did well for ABC, helping the national broadcast net 15.5%. Ten pulled 14.7%.

Seems odd 21 Nov 23

How come tv can provide their ratings each morning, yet the internet only releases monthly numbers that are a week or two late.

Does anyone know why?
