TV ratings: Viewers have been paying attention to Ten

It seems that viewers have, indeed, been paying attention, as Channel Ten delivers the goods on a competitive Monday night.

The Block won entertainment for Nine, but the victory was not as assured as usual, with Have You Been Paying Attention? drawing 555,000 metro viewers compared to The Block’s 667,000 (across the five metro areas).

HYBPA pulled an impressive 31.7% share for the 8.30pm timeslot, topping under 50s (38.3%), 16 to 39s (39%), and 25 to 54s (38.2%).

The Masked Singer reveal also performed well for Ten, pulling 452,000 viewers for the network (spoiler: it may or may not have been acoustic troubadour Pete Murray). It outrated Seven’s high-profile SAS Australia, which drew 430,000.

Nine won the night overall, with 30.5% of audience share. Seven managed 26.8%, while Ten and ABC ran a dead heat, at 17.8%.
