TV Wrap: I’m A Celebrity finishes on top with average 562k metro viewers; Seven takes the week

The grand finale of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on Ten topped Sunday entertainment, as Seven Network celebrated an overall win in the previous week.

The winner announcement slot of I’m A Celebrity brought in 592,000 metro viewers while the grand finale brought in on average 562,000 metro viewers.

This was a slight dip compared to the 2022 season of I’m A Celebrity where the winner announcement brought in 617,000 metro viewers, and the grand finale on average had 576,000 metro viewers.

Senior vice president content and programming, Paramount Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Daniel Monaghan, said: “This year’s celebrities have brought our screens alive, bringing authenticity, humour and warmth not to mention a dash of drama.

“We’ve loved seeing their personal growth in the jungle and peeling back the layers of each celebrity, getting to know their worthy charities and seeing their bonds and friendships flourish in camp.

“Hosts Julia Morris and Dr. Chris Brown have been exceptional, and what a fitting swan song for Chris to be finishing his time on the series with a stellar season.”

Farmer Wants A Wife on Seven followed in entertainment with 550,000 metro viewers, while Nine’s Lego Masters pulled in 548,000 metro viewers.

I’m A Celebrity topped the key demo of the 16-39s while Lego Masters won the demos of 18-49s and 25-54s.

Bluey on ABC Kids attracted 510,000 metro viewers, followed by Grand Designs on ABC with 441,000 metro viewers.

Seven Network won the week ended 29 April with 31.2%, scoring an overnight network win every day of the week. It was followed by Nine with 26.6%, Ten with 17% and ABC with 16.5%.

The top-rated primary channel of the week was Seven with a 22.3% share, and the top-rated multichannel was 7Mate with 3.3%.

Looking back at Sunday overnights, Seven (28.4%) came ahead of Nine Network (27.5%), while Ten had 18.9% and ABC had 18%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 23 April, Seven News was the #1 program nationally last Sunday with 1.482 million Total TV viewers, including 36,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.

However, the program with the biggest uplift (36%) was Midsomer Murders on ABC with 858,000 Total TV audience and 72,000 on national BVOD.
