News Twinings suggests Aussie women should drink tea every day June 2, 2012 7:13 by Robin Hicks 10 A new ad for Twinings attempts to persuade women to make a daily habit of drinking the stuff – rather than just on ‘some days’. It was created by McCann. The $10m campaign is supported with a competition on Facebook where the most creative answer to the question “What little things help you to enjoy the day every day?’ wins a Waterford crystal vase. The ad comes two months after Twinings used celebrity chef Nigella Lawson in a TV campaign to launch its Australian blend. Note to Ed, it’s “someday”, not Sunday…. Reply Tough call 3 Jun 12 Ouch. Tough call. What does your mum think? Reply Hoin 3 Jun 12 Not surprised to see Nigella get the flick. After that embarrassing “burkini” incident I’d be surprised if she ever gets work again. Reply Nat 4 Jun 12 I really like it. Its so true. It actually inspired me to start using the good crockery, drinking the good wine and stop saving things for a better day. I am already a big tea drinker so the saving it for a more important reason doesn’t sit with me because im too far the other way but i really really like it. Reply the public 4 Jun 12 sometimes i wish for the ads that just yell at you to come buy stuff from them. more and more, tv ads are becoming something deeper, more spiritual and pretentiously philosophical – and then you find out they’re selling a tea bag. Reply Nat 4 Jun 12 “Start with the best tea there is” – I am curious to know how the Research Now study backed this claim!!! Reply Songstress 4 Jun 12 The only way tea could be good for your day is probably by calming you down, getting rid of stress is great. Can anyone tell me what the song from the new ad is? Reply Marshi 18 Jun 12 I think the song is a re-record of the Vanessa Carlton song 1000 Miles Reply Have your say Name Email Address (optional) Website (optional) ADVERTISEMENT Most Discussed 122 Comments Sky News drops Outsiders from schedule after sacking of Mark Latham 50 Comments Sky News sacks Mark Latham and refuses to say whether Outsiders will remain on air 47 Comments Why that Pepsi ad isn’t as bad as you think it is 37 Comments 457 visa axing to hurt PR industry with ‘PR manager’ to be removed from temporary visa list 35 Comments Job cuts, one brand and the future: Will Fairfax get it right this time around?
