UM appoints Matt Scotten as strategy director

Former Naked Melbourne communications director, Matt Scotton has been announced as UM’s new strategy director.

UM CEO, Mat Baxter told Mumbrella: “We’ve purposely hired Matt because has a good level of experience in behaviour change which is an area we are continuing to try and focus and build our capabilities in and he’s a strong operator in that space. It’s an incremental hire and it’s designed to continue to ensure our strategic product is market leading.”

Scotton join’s UM Sydney next week after working for the last two and a half years at Naked Melbourne.

Stefan Burford, chief strategy officer at UM Australia, said: “We are delighted Matt is joining UM. He brings a wealth of experience from across lots of categories as well as a genuine passion for strategic and creative thinking.”

Prior to Naked, Scotton worked with Zenith Optimedia for six years as a communications strategist. Before this, Scotton worked for Carat for just over a year as an account manager.
