Underbelly wins but Hanson drives the current affairs audiences

Underbelly’s audience slipped slightly but still helped Nine to an easy ratings win on a Monday night that was dominated by Pauline Hanson.

Underbelly delivered an average of a little under 2.2m viewers, according to preliminary data from Oztam – about 100,000 down on last week.

Meanwhile, Seven won the Pauline Hanson battle. Today Tonight – featuring the man who claimed to have taken nude pictures of the politician – scored an average audience of 1.4m. It beat Nine’s A Current Affair which featured Hanson herself, denying the claims, and delivered an audience of 1.2m.

Last night’s share: Nine 32.2%; Seven 25.7%; Ten 20%; ABC 14.2%; SBS 7.8%
