Undertow Media wins Jetstar PR account

Melbourne-based communications agency Undertow Media has won the PR account of Jetstar following a six-way pitch with Haystac the incumbent agency.

The  agency will be responsible for promoting Jetstar’s consumer news and initiatives and community programs.

Liz McCarthy Jetstar group head of PR and Marketing said: “The team at Undertow Media really seems to understand our brand and objectives, and that’s what we were looking for. We see our newly-appointed PR partner as an extension of our team, assisting us to drive the brand forward in the next stage of its life, in what has become a very competitive market.”

Undertow Media has been quietly working on the account since November.

Travel has become a key sector in the agency’s portfolio with brands such as Mt Hotham, Choice Hotels Australasia, The Como Melbourne, Domaine Chandon.

The agency’s Fusion Retail Brands banner has also had recent wins with Diana Ferrari, Colorado, Mathers and Williams.
