Unibet says luck is no coincidence for hot-headed footballer

Gaming company Unibet has launched a new campaign featuring a hot-headed footballer who turns over a new leaf after becoming a social media meme.

The campaign is the latest collaboration between agencies Envy and Karmarama for the brand.

The ad opens with three men watching a football match and, as a player goes in a for tackle, one of the men tells his mates the fiery footballer is about to lose his cool.

However his mates reveal that the footballer was so upset by social media memes of his angry reactions in the past that he turned over a new leaf.

The ad was shot in Slovenia and Croatia, wth VFX charged with creating the realistic setting of a football stadium.

“We achieved this by shooting all the action in the stadium on long lenses. The crowd was added in by shooting several plates at different angles to match, then composited in using various techniques,” Envy Flame artist, Martin Waller, said.

The ad is the third in the ‘Luck is no coincidence’ series for Unibet.
