Universal Mcann hires Marcelle Hoyek

Universal Mcann has drafted MediaCom’s Marcelle Hoyek as its client services director.

This follows the departure of  Chris O’Keefe to Initiative Sydney.

The announcement:

UM Sydney has hired Marcelle Hoyek as a client service director, replacing Chris O’Keefe who last week was appointed managing director of Initiative Sydney. Both agencies are members of the Mediabrands Australia group of companies.

Hoyek will join UM from MediaCom, where she is currently group director, implementation planning & investment on the agency’s Procter & Gamble business. At UM she will be managing a team of 16 people with clients including AMP, MasterCard, Meat and Livestock Association, the Football Federation and Pfizer.

Hoyek has been with MediaCom for eight years and as well as the past two years on the P&G business, she has also worked on clients including Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, ACP, Match (IKEA, Cerebos, Blackmores), Weight Watchers, Channel 7, Hyundai and Aussie Home Loans.

“Marcelle is a talented and rising star in our business and it’s great she’s joining UM,” said Travis Johnson, managing director of UM Sydney. “She has the right combination of skills and leadership and is an ideal fit for our clients and the team she will be leading.”
