UnLtd and OMD ask industry to put on PJs for National Pyjama Day

UnLtd and OMD have asked the industry to get involved in National Pyjama Day, which is this Friday 23 July.

The announcement:

UnLtd and OMD are asking the industry to get involved in National Pyjama Day in support of The Pyjama Foundation this Friday, July 23rd by spending the day in your PJs.

The call out asks for the industry to share a photo in their pyjamas with the hashtag #InMyPJs and tag @thepyjamafoundation to help raise awareness for the Aussie charity dedicated to breaking the cycle of disadvantage for children in foster care.

Kate Holland, Account Director at UnLtd, said: “We know that some of you are already rocking the pyjama suit from home – pjs on the bottom and dressed for work on top – so why not rally your team together for the comfiest day of the year whilst raising awareness for The Pyjama Foundation?”

The appeal for support comes after OMD and UnLtd drove an industry-backed promotional campaign in the lead up to National Pyjama Day.

‘Support Little Kids with Big Dreams’ shares how The Pyjama Foundation makes children’s dreams a reality. Creative was developed by Bleacher Co. and over 20 media partners donated inventory to bring the campaign to life.

Bronwyn Sheehan OAM, Founder and CEO of The Pyjama Foundation, said: “Every year we’re blown away by the support of OMD, UnLtd and all the incredible media partners who come on board to support us for our National Pyjama Day campaign.

“Just when we think they can’t raise the bar any higher, each year they surpass our expectations. This year, we’ve reached a record number of registrants and corporates who have signed up to host Pyjama Day, and we’re on track to reach our goal of raising $400,000 which will allow us to support many more children living in out of home care.”

Amanda Watts, Head of Telstra at OMD, added: “OMD has proudly worked with The Pyjama Foundation for over five years now, and we’re honoured to be showing our support again this year to bring much needed awareness to the important work they do for foster children and their families.

“I look forward to seeing everyone in their pyjamas this Friday to back this great cause.”

Proceeds raised from National Pyjama Day will go toward funding the Love of Learning Program, which empowers children in foster care with learning, life skills and confidence to change the direction of their lives.
