UnLtd opens WA office with Carol Morris at the helm as Big Clash launches in Perth

The industry’s social purpose organisation, UnLtd, has opened an office in Western Australia, announcing Carol Morris as its general manager for Perth.

Morris has previously been the general manager for UnLtd in Sydney and is returning to the business to head up the WA office.

Carol Morris will lead UnLtd’s WA office

Morris said she was excited to bring UnLtd to her hometown.

“I’m delighted to be returning back to my UnLtd family and so excited to be able to grow our social impact in my hometown. The Perth market is full of passion and talent and there is a real desire to give back to the community and I’m looking forward to galvanising that energy to create positive social impact for children at risk,” said Morris.

In her new role, Morris will be connecting the local media, marketing and advertising industry with impactful charities working with children and young people at risk. Working with UnLtd’s existing charity partners as well as carefully selected local charities, she will drive UnLtd’s partnership and CSR programs in the Perth market.

The first partnership has already kicked off with Dentsu coming on board to create marketing strategy and support for Dismantle, a local youth development charity which uses bicycle mechanic activities and mentoring to help vulnerable young people.

Morris’ appointment coincides with the launch of the Big Clash cricket tournament, which will come to Perth on 12 March.

Chris Freel, CEO of UnLtd said: “We can’t wait to get to know the Perth market more and collaborate with the industry to use their skills for good. Carol launched UnLtd in Australia and we are delighted to welcome her back to launch UnLtd in her hometown.

“Perth is a vibrant, creative and innovative market with lots of great people who have already made us feel very welcome and have a real passion for supporting the community. We are really excited to be here to make a big impact with our charity and corporate partners in WA.

“We are also super excited to be bringing the Big Clash cricket tournament to Perth. I hear there are a few sporting ladies and gents in the market who fancy themselves as budding cricketers. This is their chance to prove it and represent the Owners or the Agencies to see who can take the spoils and bragging rights in year one.”

Since its launch six years ago, the Big Clash events have raised over $500,000 to help children at risk. The Perth event will see male and female teams go head to head in a fiercely competitive game of 20/20 style cricket between media owners and agencies, to raise funds for local youth charity Dismantle.

Sponsored by Nine Radio, JC Decaux and News Corp, Big Clash Perth will take place on 12 March at Leederville Oval. Players are locked in from Initiative, Meerkats, Dentsu, 303 Mullen Lowe, Nine Radio, JC Decaux, News Corp and Ooh Media. There are still a few places available, and industry participants can contact carol@unltd.org.au to reserve their space.
