Urban List announces new head of content

Lifestyle publisher, Urban List, has announced a new head of content.

On Monday, the group announced the appointment of Alex Dickinson, who brings over 15 years of global media experience.

After starting his career at The Courier-Mail, Dickinson moved to the US to work for the New York Post, Bloomberg, and the former Gizmodo Media Group, where he eventually took on the executive managing editor position.

Most recently, he worked at software agency, The Code Company, as director of client services and business development.

“Alex’s global experience scaling digital publishers and driving technology transformations makes him the perfect fit to lead our content strategy and take Urban List into its next growth phase,” CEO Ben Naparstek – who only joined Urban List in August – said.

“Alex’s appointment will strengthen our ability to deliver impactful content that resonates with consumers while providing valuable touchpoints for brand integration, driving meaningful outcomes for our brand partners and collaborators.”

Urban List’s growth journey has begun taking shape this year, having recently expanded into Hong Kong, building on its APAC footprint. As part of an exclusive partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the publisher will showcase cultural experiences and diverse neighbourhoods in the region.
