Video cloud services company Brightcove launches local consulting arm

Cloud video provider Brightcove has announced an Australian presence for its consulting arm and an expansion of the company’s local operations.

Former Bank of America executive, James Cooper, will join the Sydney-based team while local Peter Howard has been promoted to technical director.“The Global Services team in the U.S. has been drawing on deep, collective digital media expertise to tackle some of the most complex issues in the industry and address market demand for more customisation,” said Cooper in the company’s press release. “The opportunity to bring this degree of insight and personalisation to ANZ means we can now better balance all our customers’ needs and ensure the most successful implementations locally through a highly curated approach.”

Justin Van Emmerik, formerly head of adtech at News Corp Australia will step into Howard’s previous position of digital strategist and solutions engineer while Ben Chan joins from Salesforce to lead account management of the company’s Australian and New Zealand digital marketing customers.

Local Brightcove clients include Southern Cross Austereo, Endeavour Drinks Group, Optus, and Xero. Brightcove Global Services will offer a range of services to media, marketing, and enterprise clients.
