Virgin Australia’s baggage handlers get their groove on in latest ‘Bring on Wonderful’ campaign, via Special

Virgin Australia has launched the next feel-good instalment of its ‘Bring on Wonderful’ campaign, via creative agency Special Australia.

First launched in 2022 with a bold declaration that the airline offers more than just a ‘nice’ travelling experience, the latest addition to the campaign sees the airline place its team front and centre, emphasising their commitment in continuing to deliver outstanding experiences for customers.

The campaign’s main creative work – a 60-second video – features a family settling down for their flight with their teenage daughter being reluctant to go. However, after placing her headphones on, the daughter looks out the window to see Virgin’s baggage handlers bust out their dance moves while a techno beat carries the energy onwards and upwards – it’s just the sight the daughter needs to crack a smile before the plane takes off.

“We are thrilled to launch the second phase of the Bring on Wonderful platform, featuring our people, who are at the heart of Virgin Australia,” said Libby Minogue, chief marketing officer at Virgin Australia.

Minogue went on to spotlight the baggage handlers, who she explained played a crucial role in helping the airline improve its customer innovation solutions, particularly in Virgin’s baggage-tracking technology.

“It’s wonderful to hero our baggage handlers who have played a significant role in launching our Australian airline-first baggage tracking technology, one of the many customer innovations we have recently implemented.

“We look forward to continuing to deliver uplifting experiences for our guests as we roll out new innovations, underpinned by our award-winning service.”

When asked about the campaign’s vision this time around, the agency’s group creative director, Nils Eberhardt, had this to say: “Whenever you fly with Virgin Australia, you immediately notice that their whole crew are determined to add joy to your journey.”

“The aim for this campaign was to take that wonderful personality from the tarmac into Australians’ homes.”

The second instalment of ‘Bring on Wonderful’ will play across outdoor, digital and TV channels, with a six-week run.
