Virgin’s Valentine’s Day delivery
Virgin Mobile today created a Valentine’s Day PR stunt to try to muscle in on the blossoming love affair between Vodafone and 3. 
The telco hand delivered flowers and chocolates to both companies – along with a suggestion: “If you’re ever up for a threesome, there’s always Telstra.”
The stunt was organised by Virgin’s PR company One Green Bean.
Tim Burrowes founded Mumbrella in 2008. He worked on Mumbrella until 2021. At various points he was editor, content director and editor-at-large.

I actually think this is quite smart. It is totally in line with Virgin’s brand identity and I’d expect nothing less from the Telco. Well done to them i say! Conforming is so 2008…

Its Virgin being Virgin, and a very funny reaction to the Vodafone/3 merger. Costing nothing more than a bit of initiative and a bunch of flowers. Fair play to them
