Visa appoints new head of marketing for Oceania
Airbnb’s APAC marketer, Meble Tin, will join Visa as its new Oceania head of marketing next month, as the company looks to scale its marketing services and capabilities.
Tin will lead marketing for Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, bringing “world-class brand and customer marketing leadership” to the region. Her remit spans brand, client, and consumer engagement.
She joins from Airbnb, where she has spent the past four-and-a-half years, most recently as APAC marketing lead. Prior to that, she held senior global marketing roles at Apple.

Meble Tin
“This is a pivotal appointment for us,” Alan Machet, Visa Group country manager for Oceania, said in a release.
“Meble brings a unique blend of global brand-building expertise and regional market insight – and will help sharpen the way we show up as a business, a brand and a marketing partner to our clients.”
Tin will guide the company’s marketing direction at a “time of transformation”, not just for the payments industry, but for how brands connect with people.
According to the release, her appointment strengthens Visa’s investment in banks, fintechs, and merchants, as its marketing platforms help drive growth.
Danielle Jin, regional head of marketing for Asia-Pacific, said Tin has an “instinct” for turning complex technology into “compelling customer narratives”.
“That’s a powerful asset not just for Visa’s brand, but for the value we deliver to our clients across the region.”
Tin, who will be based in Sydney, said she was excited to join Visa, a brand that “touches every part of daily life”.
“As digital commerce continues to evolve, we have an opportunity to help businesses grow by combining innovation with insight, and creativity with local connection,” she said in the release.
Tin’s appointment is effective September 2.
