Visit Maldives appoints Anne Wild and Associates to PR account
Visit Maldives has appointed independent communications agency Anne Wild and Associates to its public relations account.
This latest win for AWA continues the growth of the agency’s travel portfolio, after it won Greek hotel group Myconian Collection in February.
Anne Wild, managing director of AWA, said the agency will be focusing on raising awareness of the Maldives as a travel destination for Australians.
“Travel PR has been a specialty focus for AWA for the past 21 years and we’re excited to add Visit Maldives to our growing travel destination portfolio. Part of our remit will be building awareness of the breadth of what’s on offer in this bucket-list destination for many Australian travellers,” she said.
Within its new remit, AWA will also be managing Visit Maldives’ trade relations, partnering with Luxury Travel Ambassadors to be included in trade shows and engage travel agents.
Luxury Travel Ambassadors’ director Tamara Kobiolke said in a statement: “The combination of relaxation and adventure, luxury and authenticity, means the Maldives is the ultimate holiday destination. The choice of accommodation options is growing, and we look forward to working with the travel trade to continue the upward projection of traveller numbers from Australia.”
AWA’s other travel and lifestyle clients include Fullerton Hotels and Resorts, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Lake Macquarie Tourism, and The Goldman Group.
