VMO’s Anthony Deeble to become Hoyts Group CCO as Dan Hill extends remit to digital outdoor
Val Morgan Outdoor’s managing director Anthony Deeble has been promoted to chief commercial officer of the Hoyts Group, after almost ten years with the business.
Deeble was the founder of digital outdoor company Outpost Media, which was sold to private equity company Pacific Equity Partners in 2008 before being merged with the Hoyts Group and Val Morgan advertising.
In his new role, Deeble will work on the business’ capital investment program and new business opportunities. His role will also see him looking to grow operations and commercial growth across the Val Morgan group.
At the same time, Val Morgan Cinema’s managing director, Dan Hill, will become CEO of Val Morgan Group. His leadership will extend beyond cinema, into the company’s digital outdoor arm.
Val Morgan has said the renewed group structure will position the business as a ‘comprehensive solution for advertisers.’
Hill has been with the company since 2011, where he started as national sales manager. Since then, he has worked as both chief revenue officer and managing director.
Keogh said Hill was a “proven high performer”.
“We are always taking stock to ensure Val Morgan’s relevance and offering across cinema and outdoor is the best it can be. Dan’s appointment will help Val Morgan more simply meet the needs and expectation of its clients, in providing end to end media solutions,” Keogh said.
The changes are effective immediately.
Smells like a shameless cash grab to me, but it could have some benfit.
It’s nearly impossible to build a new brand these days as some mook owns your ideal domain along with a thousand others.
As Joanna suggests it could be a fizzer. Anyone still own a .mobi?

If you have had dealing with Anthony before, this promotion would likely come as a smack in the face. I don’t think Hoyts have done their homework.
