We Communications unveils fresh leadership team

L-R: Nitin Mantri, president (APAC) with EMT: Summer Reading, John Egan, David Leahy, Sarah Tu, Dan Woods, Jasmine Mayo
Comms agency We Communications has revealed a fresh lineup for its leadership team.
On Thursday morning, the agency announced its new executive management team.
Summer Reading will take on the role of group head for corporate and financial communications. Reading joined the agency in March 2025, after a six-month stint as group account director for corporate and technology at Icon. In the past, she held senior positions at Thrive PR, Expedia Group and communications consultancy Ketchum.
Boasting more than 15 years of comms experience gained from working in Australia, Hong Kong and China, Reading’s appointment marks her second time at We — she served as senior manager for technology at the agency’s Hong Kong office from March to December in 2017.
Sarah Tu returns to We after a half-year run at alcohol business Lion. While there she worked as an integrated marketing communications manager, focusing on beer brand Heineken.
Like Reading, Tu’s appointment marks her second run at We, having spent two years at the agency from October 2022 to November 2024 in a strategy director and acting group head of digital, creative and strategy roles. Tu has also worked at Mindshare, Weber Shandwick and AKQA in social media positions.

Technology comms professional Jasmine Mayo has also joined We’s management team as head of technology.
Mayo has over 15 years of B2C and B2B PR and technology experience gained from working in Australia and the United States, in agency and in-house environments.
The rest of the PR agency’s leadership team is made up of Emma Hussey as head of health, and John Egan as senior finance manager. David Leahy maintains his position as general manager and acting head, health, while Hussey is on maternity leave.
“The world of PR and communication — like the world in general — continues to face huge challenges and change,” Dan Woods, We Australia’s managing director, said in a media release.
“The value of our leaders’ experience and wisdom, combined with their understanding of the challenges our clients face and the influencers of their audiences, has never been more important.”
In the same release, Woods also described his agency’s senior leaders as “thoughtful, considered, dedicated professionals” who are not afraid of tackling clients’ challenges and work.
“I look forward to partnering with them on the next stage of the agency’s growth,” he said.
The leadership team’s ultimate goal is to steer We’s next growth stage, after recent client wins in the integrated marketing, technology, health, and corporate fields.
