Home & Away's Welsh develops US drama series
US producer Gavin Polone’s production company Pariah (Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Gilmore Girls, Panic Room) has come on board to produce a TV series created by Home and Away series producer Cameron Welsh.
Welsh has just returned from a couple of weeks in the states discussing the new gritty one-hour dramatic series. The role the Home and Away‘s writer/director/producer will play on the series is still in talks.
A representative at One Talent Management said, “We were discussing a number of projects with top producers and Gavin loved the writing and was really excited about getting on board.”
Cameron began as an actor on Home and Away in 1999 before taking on writing and directing duties to finally become Series Producer. He has recently earned an AWGIE nomination.
Cameron is signed to One Talent Management who manage Charlize Theron and Kevin Costner as well as Creative Artists Agency. Head of One Talent, JJ Harris said, “We are so proud to represent this singularly talented creator. We anticipate great success for Cameron in the American film and Television market.”
