Westpac aims to show it cares in spot promoting Emergency Cash service

The miserable moment of discovering a wallet is lost is recreated in a new ad for Westpac’s Emergency Cash service.

The commercial from DDB Melbourne captures people’s reactions to having their wallets stolen or lost in a variety of circumstances and aims to position Westpac as the bank that cares.

Westpac head of mass marketing services Lisa Ronson said: “Westpac Emergency Cash is the latest in a series of innovations and services designed to help our customers in those moments when they need us most. This campaign dramatises those situations and demonstrates how Westpac can help.”

Directed by Finch’s Christopher Riggert, the commercial leads into the broader campaign which will play out across mainstream, digital and social channels over the coming weeks.

The campaign follows on from a stunt which saw  a ‘human ATM’ vox popping people in Melbourne who share their stories of having their wallets stolen or lost.
