WhiteGrey’s Sydney MD Andrew Davenport departs

WPP’s WhiteGrey has seen another senior executive depart the agency, with the managing director of Sydney Andrew Davenport exiting, Mumbrella can reveal.

This is the third senior executive to depart the agency in just over a month following the abrupt resignation of joint-CEO Paul Worboys, followed by CEO Miles Joyce’s departure two weeks later.

Davenport is the third executive to depart from WhiteGREY this year

Two weeks later, M&C Saatchi’s managing partner, Lee Simpson, was named the new CEO of WhiteGrey.

In May last year The White Agency and Grey Group Australia merged to become WhiteGrey.

At the time of the merger, Davenport was the managing director of The White Agency Sydney, working underneath Miles Joyce.

Prior to his stint as MD, Davenport was the general manager for just over a year.

A spokesperson from WPP said in a statement to Mumbrella: “WPP AUNZ can confirm that Andrew Davenport, WhiteGrey’s managing director, has left the agency. WhiteGrey recently announced that Lee Simpson has been appointed as CEO to oversee the business and drive further growth.”

It is unclear who will be replacing Davenport in the role of managing director.

WhiteGrey’s clients include Dreamworld, Lendlease, U by Kotex and BT Financial.
