Wild Boys beats Underbelly in Seven and Nine Sunday tussle

The debut of Australian bushranger drama Wild Boys on Seven was the highest rating show for Sunday night ahead of Underbelly: Razor on Nine.

The new show, which aired at 7:30 and features Daniel MacPherson and Zoe Ventoura pulled in 1.674 million, according to preliminary metro ratings from OzTam.

Underbelly attracted 1.55 million and won its time slot but was down on last week’s audience of 1.76 million.

Both Nine and Seven had six shows each in the top 15 with two going to ABC1 and one to Ten.

Nine’s decision to axe medieval series Camelot from the main station after its first double episode last week saw it replaced with movie The Hangover following Underbelly. The premiere of the film on Nine saw an audience of 668,000 which was above Camelot’s audience last week of 640,000.
