Winners & Losers softens but still blows away Top Gear
Seven’s female-focused drama Winners & Losers faded slightly in its third week in the schedules although it was still second for the night and delivered a sound thrashing to Top Gear.
Winners And Losers averaged 1.392m viewers, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.
The show made its debut with 1.611m a fortnight ago. Last week, its double episodes rated 1.566m and 1.420m.
Meanwhile, Seven’s My Kitchen Rules won the night with 1.424m viewers.
Nine struggled with just one entertainment show in the top ten and well below the important 1m mark with The Big Bang Theory rated 823,000.
Meanwhile, Top Gear’s decline continued for Nine, hitting a new low of 643,000.
As well as being beaten by double the audience for Winners & Losers, Top Gear was also well behind Ten’s NCIS (1.151m).
Talkin Bout Your Generation also rated solidly for Ten, with an audience of 1.049m.
Ten pushed Nine into third place for the night.
In the secondary channels battleground, Eleven’s Neighbours triumphed with 373,000. Survivor (274,000) was a strong performer for Nine’s Go.
George Negus fared less well in his second outing in the 6.30pm timeslot on Ten, falling back below 400,000, with an audience of 380,000. This was compared to Today Tonight’s 1.249m on Seven and A Current Affair’s 978,000 on Nine.
In a further blow for Nine, Kerri Anne Kennerley was pushed into third in the battle of the morning shows by Ten’s The Circle.
Ten News At Five averaged 660,000 across its 90 minutes.

Nine need to stop putting repeats of Top Gear on the main channel then they might show improvements – keep repeats on the digital stations, thats where they belong and where they will out perform the rest.
Its a shame too, cos the bolivia special they aired last night is a superb episode!
They better have something up their sleeves for the rest of the year or there will be a lot of advertisers around town tearing up share deals.
