Women’s health tech Elvie partners with Sling & Stone for Australian launch

Female-led British health tech brand Elvie has selected PR & communications agency Sling & Stone to handle its brand awareness program in Australia.

The new partnership will see Sling & Stone launch Elvie’s innovative products in Australia, starting with the Elvie Trainer, the smart Kegel trainer designed by founder and CEO Tania Boler after she discovered 1 in 3 women will experience pelvic floor issues in their lifetime.

The new win comes as the agency last week expanded its operation into Melbourne, opening an office in the Victorian state capital, alongside a number of new appointments in Brisbane and Adelaide.

Elvie was founded in 2013 after Boler, a internationally recognised expert in women’s health, realised the overwhelming lack of support for new mums. Despite knockbacks from male investors, Boler brought together a team of engineers, designers and business minds to redesign outdated women’s health medical devices into modern consumer technology products that could be used at home.

The brand is known for challenging taboos and shaking up the status quo in its marketing, from ‘leaking’ billboards to giant inflatable breasts flying over London.
