Woolies’ Cartology appoints director of operations
Woolworths’ media business, Cartology, has appointed former Nine digital chief operating officer Christiaan Rutten as director of operations. Rutten’s new role will be focused on integrating technology and systems across all aspects of Cartology’s operations.
Cartology boasts a suite of products from OOH and point of sale, to digital and 360-degree ROI insights. As the media business enters into its second year and continues to expand, Rutten will be responsible for building a scalable operations framework to facilitate an end-to-end client experience.
Cartology’s managing director Mike Tyquin said of the appointment: “I am delighted to welcome a media executive of Chris’ calibre to our team… Chris brings deep expertise across our core channels of digital and OOH and has a great track record of building innovative operations and delivery platforms that achieve results for advertisers.”
Rutten’s appointment follows four senior hires in May this year including Jessica Hunter as head of agency partnerships, and Ashleah Harding and Shannon Moriarty as joint managers of group agency partnerships. Harding also joined Cartology from Nine, where she was national head of retail.
