The Woolshed Company takes V Energy drink viral with volcano selfie hoax

Hoax video specialists The Woolshed Company has struck again, seeding a viral video of a man taking a selfie inside the crater of an active volcano.

The campaign is part of V Energy Drink’s V Skills campaign, which launched two weeks ago.

The video was shared by thousands of people across social media, including rapper 50 Cent, who shared the film with his 37m followers saying it was “Maf*cking crazy”. It was also shared by Snoop Dogg.

V has now reposted the video as a V Skills guide on how to capture an extreme selfie.

The brand tapped into the skills of The Woolshed Company, which has hoaxed the internet with videos including ‘Lightening almost strikes girl in Sydney’ and ‘Man fights off Great White shark in Sydney Harbour’.

The Volcano selfie idea is not new, with Mashable reporting about a man taking a volcano selfie two years ago.
