World surfing champion Stephanie Gilmore questions idea of ‘perfection’ in YoPro yoghurt campaign

Six-time world surfing champion Stephanie Gilmore has been recruited to push yoghurt brand YoPro in a campaign by Emotive.

The campaign is built around the ‘It’s the journey, not the destination that matters’ cliche, with Gilmore saying perfection comes from the places she’s been, and the people she’s met – rather than just her world titles.

Simon Joyce, CEO at Emotive, said in a statement: “Steph and YoPro have shared beliefs and this campaign perfectly encapsulates that – we want to encourage all people to relentlessly pursue their passion. It was brilliant to work with such an iconic Australian.”

The campaign is set to run across both TV and digital.

Amy French, brand manager at Danone, added: “Chasing passion with Stephanie Gilmore is all about celebrating the joyous pursuit of your passions. YoPro, with high protein and no added sugar gives you the momentum to keep you going – it fuels your passion.”
