WPP merges research arms AMR and Colmar Brunton

WPP AUNZ has merged two of its research agencies, AMR and Colmar Brunton, to become Colmar Brunton.

The mergers comes just months after the holding group merged ad agencies JWT and Wunderman and VML and Y&R.

The new Colmar Brunton will be lead by its current CEO Joan Young alongside COO Maree Taylor and chief client officer Jenny Witham.

“Merging AMR with Colmar Brunton formalises the close working relationship we’ve had for the last year. During that time, we discovered our people share the same passion to make a difference and drive better outcomes for our clients,” Young said in a statement.

“We know greater diversity leads to more creativity and innovation – essential for today’s research market. Under the Colmar Brunton brand we now have a larger and more diverse range of specialist skills, improving our ability to meet clients changing needs and creating new opportunities for our people.”

The new agency will continue to be lead by original Colmar Brunton staff including Sydney GM Marcus Pritchard and Melbourne GM Kirstin Couper.
