The X Factor grows as Ten’s shows vanish from the top 15
Seven’s The X Factor dominated television viewing last night with over 1.6m viewers marking its highest Monday night audience for the season, while helping The Blacklist to an average of 1.297m viewers.
Meanwhile Channel Ten’s fast-tracked US import Homeland fell to 405,000 metro viewers for its third episode, its lowest rating of the series, according to OzTam’s preliminary overnight metro ratings. Homeland was 26th for the night, and 15th in people 25-54, Ten’s target demographic.
And Ten’s sport-focused panel show A League of Their Own, hosted by comedian Tommy Little, was fourth in the 7.30pm time and 28th for the night, with an average metro audience of just 344,000.
Ten finished the night with a metro share of just 9.2 per cent, dipping to 6.8 per cent in Brisbane and Adelaide. the network did not have a single show in the top 15 for the night.
I’m interested why these figures are reported so quickly as it really only tells part of the story as it excludes catch up/iQ TV. Can anyone tell me what % watch live? I’m sure that news/sport/reality TV are significantly more likely to be watched live whereas documentaries and dramas are not.
